Introduction

Merry Meet,

I'm the Fluid Druid, webmaster of The Fluid Druid Network.

Unlike my other websites, I plan on using this blog to post what is going on in my life, my view on the news, and other subjects more personal than I would publish on my more established websites.

As I sit here I am listening to the coverage of Hurricane Jeanne, which will be passing just north of us about 2 pm tomorrow (yep, another Sunday storm).
This will be the third major hurricane to pass over us in the last 6 weeks, all of which hit Orlando, thank goodness I live in Dade City.
I get the feeling that the Gods hate Mickey Mouse!
We have made it through the last ones with no major damage (knock on wood), and hope that this will continue to be the case.

On a more personal note, I go in for oral surgery sometime nest week.
Last week I started having severe headaches, and my doctor said I need to consult a dentist.
I have been avoiding dentist for almost 20 years now, the last time I went to one was to have my wisdom teeth pulled and it was a nightmare.
I was in the Army at the time, and they didn't knock me out for the procedure.
I had to sit there with nothing but novicane shots to help me bear listening to them as they broke my jaw in all four places to get the teeth out.
Needless to say, after that I avoided dentist like the plague.

Now all my teeth are bad, and I expect that within a year from now they will all have to be pulled and I will have false teeth.

When I went to the dentist this time I was told that I have a serious infection in both my upper and lower jaws, and need emergency surgery.
That was Thursday, and I expect to get a call Monday telling me when they will be ready to cut on me.

Well enough for now, I'll probably post more later tonight or tomorrow morning (providing we have electricity).
